SLICES OF LOVE . . . . . . . .

Because of Covid-19, health rules and regulations changed Salem’s traditional Pie Day to Luther Haven and Copper Glen Assisted Living. Among some of the changes was the fact that we were no longer able to enter the buildings.  However, with the help of Valentino’s Family Restaurant, who baked the pies, and contributions from Thrivent, the residents from both facilities were still able to be treated with a slice of love from the Servants of Salem.

On Tuesday, August 4, Paul & Leanne Anderson and Butch & Diane Schulte, Martha/Luke Family Directors, delivered 168 slices of pie to the doors of Copper Glen & Luther Haven along with a greeting card to be given to each resident for their bulletin board.  Although it was not the way we usually conduct Pie Day, for the residents of both Copper Glen and Luther Haven, we hope it brought a little ray of sunshine and brightened their day.
