Salem is a Christian congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA)

Salem's Annual Chili Supper: Thursday, February 21, 5-7 p.m.
Adults: $7, Children: $3; serving chili, sides, dessert and choice of beverage!
2019 Equipping Congregations Day: The annual SWMN Synod Equipping Congregations Day in Willmar will be Saturday, February 23, 8:30am-3:30pm (Salem reports to Vinje Lutheran Church). This event is for congregations, so any Salem members may attend! Last year, Salem was represented by 13 members, including Pr. Matt - it would be great to see that number again (or more!). 1st & 2nd Sundays of each month are a traditional service;
3rd & 4th Sundays of each month are a more contemporary service
Holy Communion: 1st & 3rd Sun. of Every Month
Sunday School: Sept. - May, 8:30am to 9:15am
Sunday School will begin on September 16, 2018!

'THE TABLE' IS A MINISTRY OF SALEM! The Table is a free community breakfast at Salem on the last Saturday of every month, 8:30 - 10 a.m. Everyone is welcome! The Table is also looking for volunteers to help prepare and serve the meals. Click here to open our "Community" page to see what dates volunteers are needed. Sign-up by contacting Salem's office, or use the sign-up sheet provided at Salem on Sunday mornings.

SALEM PRAYER CHAIN
The Salem Prayer Chain is a volunteer group of Salem members who pray by request for the needs of others. Prayer requests may be for yourself or someone else, and may be for healing or other challenges in life. Requests can remain anonymous if you wish, and privacy of individuals is always respected. Please contact Ruby Flickinger at 269-2220 or 226-8591 with any requests you may have. This is different from the Sunday prayers listed in the bulletin. To be included in the Sunday prayers, please call the Salem office (269-7624) or e-mail us (email@example.com).

Thank you to everyone who participated in the congregational vitality survey! We had a presentation and discussion of the survey results on Sunday, February 3, lead by Pr. Larry Strenge, Director of Evangelical Mission of the SWMN Synod-ELCA.
Thank you to everyone who weathered the wind and cold on Sunday, January 27 to attend the Midwinter Concert and benefit for the St. Martin's Fund at Salem. We appreciate all of the talented musicians and musical groups who performed, and everyone who volunteered time to organize and serve at the event. Thanks to everyone involved, over $1,300 was raised for the St. Martin's Fund!
Thank you to everyone who donated toward Salem's Christmas decorations! A special thank you to Ruby Flickinger for all of her work ordering plants, decorating trees and setting out other decorations.
