The Chili Supper at Salem on February 15 was a success! Though a slightly stormy night limited the number of attendees, over $1700 was raised. In addition, donations totaling $275 were collected for the Chippewa County Food Shelf and the Bring It Home Backpack Program. Many thanks to all who worked, attended, and donated. See you next year!
Salem is thankful for the 13 Salem members, including Pastor Matt, who attended the Equipping Congregations Day in Willmar on Saturday February 10, 2018. Thanks to the great planning staff, workshop leaders, Bethel & Vinje Churches for hosting, and the two very engaging speakers, Rev. Elizabeth Eaton - Presiding Bishop of the ELCA & Rev. Jon V. Anderson - Bishop of the SWMN Synod, it was an interesting and enlightening day. In total, 809 individuals attended.
Thank you to all of the musicians and volunteers who contributed to the Midwinter Concert at Salem on January 21, 2018, and thank you to all those who attended. The Midwinter Concert is a free musical event which raises awareness and funds for our local "St. Martin's Fund." The event raised nearly $1500 towards the St. Martin’s fund! The 2019 concert is scheduled for January 27, 2019.
